Harvard Undergraduate Council) has steadily decreased their financial support semester by semester, with HIS receiving only $370.83 in Fall 2025 for all programming to our community of 200+ students.   We also pursued grants within the school for additional financial support. However, many vanished after the Trump administration’s various attacks on Harvard. Even with those that remain, the University has implemented strict rules regarding where funds go.   We are navigating and adjusting to this changing environment, but the university overall is not as financially supportive as it once was. We’ve had to become especially creative in how we run events, but that can only go so far.   Shakira and I have a strong vision for the year ahead and want to strengthen the Muslim community at Harvard as best we can. You can see many of the initiatives we’ve pioneered on campus in the Fall Semester recap above. Students have landed jobs at Google, McKinsey, PWC, and other top companies through referrals, warm introductions, and career mentorship.   AMAL House came to Harvard in October (pictured above with Shaheer Rizvi ‘08) and received significant interest, with a number of current sophomores & juniors applying.
